So here’s my big project, a Norwegian sweater. Quick before it gets cold(er)! And my tummy bigger.
It’s on the big size (for an XS!) but right now that’s perfect. I really wanted to try a colourwork yoked sweater, avoiding seams. It’s nice and seamless… but should I want it smaller for next winter… err… then uhm…
I’m a big fan of Drops, they have a thorough website, in many languages, with lots of (free) knitting patterns and sell wool online (and in some select shops) at a decent price. They also have instruction videos as well as a helpful forum.
I chose to make this tunic above, but replaced their design by the original ‘Marius’ pattern, see below. Sandnes sells it, unfortunately only to addresses in Norway.
So I puzzled it out based on the similarish Cortina pattern, from Dale. A lot of math and puzzling went into converting the patterns, but it worked!
I am currently knitting my own Nordic inspired sweater and about to begin the colourwork section. Your sweater is beautiful.
